“On this day, Our Lord has taken away Her Serene Highness Queen Isabella, my dear and beloved wife, and although her death is the greatest suffering that I could ever have in this life, on one hand the pain of it and what I have lost upon losing her as well as all these kingdoms burns my heart. On the other hand, seeing that she died as a saint and a Catholic as she had lived her life, I hope that Our Lord has her in his glory and that for her it is a better and more eternal kingdom that the ones she had on Earth, because Our Lord wanted it this way. We must accept His will and thank him for everything He does”—Ferdinand of Aragon on Isabella’s death. Cited on Nancy Rubin: Isabella of Castile. The first Renaissance Queen. (via valinaraii)
Why do you treat Princess Letizia and Prince Felipe as Crown Princess Letizia and Crown Prince Felipe? They are not Crown Princes, that title is just for the escandinavian royals. In BRF (for example) Crown Prince is Prince of Wales, in SRF Crown Prince is Prince of Asturias.
Because I didn’t know that. Thanks for telling me.
